Last year alone, U.S. law enforcement identified over 300,000 criminals who were trafficking in movies and pictures of young children being raped and tortured. Experts say that one in every three of these criminals has local child victims. Child pornography trafficking over the Internet has given us a trail of evidence that leads straight to their doorsteps, but the vast majority of these children will never be rescued because investigators are overwhelmed, outnumbered and underfunded.
As your constituent, I urge you to do everything in your power to pass the PROTECT Our Children Act (S. 1738, Biden-Hatch). This bipartisan legislation passed the House 415-2, but it is now the victim of petty partisan politics.
Now that we know where these children are and how to protect them, there is no excuse for the Senate to fail to take action this session.

Being a mother that lives for her child, I can only be for anything and everything to help protect children. This world has become to overwhelmed by unneeded child abuse, through accidents, deaths, rapes, beatings, molestations, inappropriate advertisements and poor decision making through systems made to protect our children. I have seen in too many circumstances in my own personal life where heads just turned away from child abuse. I cannot say enough how important it is to make the choices and act upon them in regards to the best interest of a child. Children are helpless and where put here by us, leaving us with the sole responsibility to uphold the highest standards possible when keeping them safe. They learn from and grow from what is presented to them, that is all they know and their only choice. Anyone to neglect their life long duty of taking what ever measures possible to enable the safety of children, should really take a long look at themselves and remember that someone somewhere made it possible for them to exist. Even if they do not believe they where treated as they should have been, that should not make bitter in their decision makings to further the crime. It should only give them more of a drive to do what it takes to ensure it dose not happen to other INNOCENT children. There is a song that rings often in the back of my mind when I see or hear of things happening where someone failed to protect a child’s best interest “Greatest Love Of All” by Whitney Houston holding the truest words possible to back up my beliefs, “I believe the children are our future” and “to teach them well and let them lead the way”. People need to see that Yes our children are our future, I do not feel more needs to be added to that statement. It is those words that bring me to be for this Senate Bill 1738- The PROTECT OUR CHILDREN ACT, there is nothing left for us to grow upon with out that protection and their is no one else that can do it but us. I am ALL FOR this bill and will do all I can to promote it. I only ask that it is taken seriously by everyone and carried out the way it is meant, for OUR CHILDREN!
